Italian comedy The Salt Of Life sells in ten more territories, including the UK, Germany and Spain.
Fandango Portobello has sold Gianni Di Gregorio’s sophomore comedy The Salt Of Life to a further ten territories, having pre-sold the film to France (Pyramide Distribution), Benelux (ABC-Cinemien) and Switzerland (Xenix) prior to the EFM.
The company closed EFM deals after the film’s international premiere in Berlin, including Germany/Austria (Neue Visionen), UK (Artificial Eye), Spain (Golem), Former Yugoslavia (Demiurg), Hungary (Cirko Films), Portugal (Midas Filmes), Greece (Filmtrade), Australia (Rialto Distribution), Romania (Transilvania Film) and Israel (Orlando Films).
A North American sale and other deals are currently under negotiation.
“We knew Salt would find its audience after the runaway international success of Mid-August Lunch”, says Janine Gold, Head of Sales and Distribution for Fandango Portobello, “but the interest at the EFM was even stronger than we expected.”
