Exclusive Media licensed Henry-Alex Rubin’s ensemble drama to Aurelio and Luigi De Laurentiis’ distribution company prior to the world premiere in Venice.

Disconnect stars Jason Bateman, Michael Nyqvist, Andrea Riseborough, Alexander Skarsgaard and Paula Patton among others and is set to receive its North American premiere in Toronto on Tuesday (11).

LD Entertainment will release the film in the US in spring 2013 and Mickey Liddell and Jennifer Monroe of LD Entertainment produced with William Horberg of Wonderful Films.

Andrew Stern wrote the screenplay about people who struggle to form meaningful connections in the technology age.

Exclusive Media’s president of international sales and distribution Alex Walton negotiated the deal with Filmauro head of acquisitions Giovanna Fulvi.
