FilmBuff picks 11/4/08 doc and elects for October release

The feature-length film was created with footage that Deutchman collected from film-makers around the globe, captured during the day Barack Obama was elected President of the US on November 4, 2008.

Film-makers Henry Joost (Catfish), Margaret Brown (TheOrder Of Myths), Joe Swanberg (AlexanderThe Last) and others, contribute stories and images from the day.

The film had its world premiere at the 2010 SXSW Film Festival and will open in October to conincide with the national mid-term elections.

“Jeff’s documentary project is not only a compelling film, but also a wonderfully clever example of interactive storytelling through new media,” FilmBuff head of programming Matt Dentler said. “It feels appropriate to release the film in this interactive manner, across digital platforms.”
