Glen Basner’s FilmNation arrives in Berlin with John Hillcoat’s The Road follow-up, based on a script by Hillcoat’s The Proposition collaborator Nick Cave.

Shia LaBeouf, Tom Hardy and Jessica Chastain are set to star in Wettest County as the Feb 28 start date in Georgia approaches.

Cave’s screenplay is adapted from Matt Bondurant’s Depression-era novel The Wettest County In The World about bootlegging brothers.

Lucy Fisher and Doug Wick will produce alongside Michael Benaroya under his Benaroya Pictures banner and Megan Ellison. 

FilmNation’s slate includes Gambit with Colin Firth and Cameron Diaz, Oscar nominee The King’s Speech, Hungry Rabbit Jumps with Nic Cage, underwater caving adventure Sanctum, Pedro Almodovar’s The Skin I Live In, Under The Skin with Scarlett Johansson and Rian Johnson’s Looper with Bruce Willis and Joseph Gordon-Levitt
