EXCLUSIVE: FilmSharks International has closed a deal for the smash Brazilian spiritual drama Our Home The Astral City (Nosso Lar) with VideoVision for all rights in Africa.

Sales chief Guido Rud also licensed rights to Amazonia Films for Venezuelan theatrical and video. Rud is in talks with buyers for Japan and Germany.

The film was a massive hit in Brazil where it grossed approximately $25m through Fox International. Wagner de Assis directed from Chico Xavier’s 1942 book about a man’s journey through the afterlife.
