The broadcaster plans to launch Martin Scorsese’s film in two parts on Oct 5 and 6. Exclusive Films International is handling foreign sales

Scorsese directed and produced George Harrison: Living In The Material World through his Sikelia Productions label alongside Olivia Harrison through her Grove Street Pictures and Exclusive Media Group co-CEO Nigel Sinclair through the company’s documentary label Spitfire Pictures.

George Harrison: Living In The Material World paints a picture of the late Beatle’s life, work and spiritual existence through interviews with friends and collaborators.

Paul McCartney, Ringo Starr, George Martin, Yoko Ono, Phil Spector, Eric Clapton and Terry Gilliam are among the talking heads.

Meanwhile Lionsgate has picked up home entertainment rights to the documentary in the UK, with plans for a DVD release in October.
