Momentum’s thriller to play in an additional 22 cinemas from tomorrow.
Following a solid opening weekend, Morten Tyldum’s adaptation of best-selling Norwegian author Jo Nesbø’s novel Headhunters will expand its UK release in its second week.
Momentum’s release of the thriller will now play in an additional 22 cinemas across the country, including the Curzon Soho, Cambridge Picturehouse and Dundee Contemporary Arts cinema, bringing its number of sites to over 100.
Headhunters brought in $419,934 (£264,769) from its 83 sites on its opening weekend at an average of $5,059 (£3,190). The debut compares favourably with The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo’s debut in 2010 which took more ($603,906/£378,434) but played at more sites (114), resulting in a similar average of $5,297 (£3,320).
