High Point Films has done a flurry of sales in Cannes on Michael Henry’s debut thriller Blame, starring Damian de Montemas, Sophie Lowe and Kestie Morassi.
Lightning Entertainment has picked up theatrical rights for North America, with CTV picking up rights to French territories and High Fliers for UK and Ireland. HBO will handle TV rights for Central Europe, while DD Dreams and Sinema TV have picked up China and Turkey respectively.
The film, which is set in the remote Australian outback and centres around a middle-aged piano teacher who ris attacked by five masked intruders, is screening in Cannes sidebar, Cinema des Antipodes.
”Blame is a very strong debut feature,” said High Point’s Carey Fitzgerald, adding, “We’re delighted to see that it’s attracting so much enthusiastic interest from buyers and festivals alike.”
