Chris Hedges exits PPI, Ian George assumes role under Antony Marcoly

Veteran UK distribution executive Ian George is stepping up in the new Paramount Pictures International infrastructure, and assumes the role of senior vice president and managing director, reporting directly to new PPI president Anthony Marcoly. George will be based in London.

He replaces Chris Hedges, who leaves Paramount after a 35-year run at PPI and formerly UIP.

“We are grateful to Chris for the tremendous contributions he made during his career at both Paramount and UIP,” said Rob Moore, Vice Chairman of Paramount Pictures.

Before joining Paramount. George served as MD of Fox UK, served seven years at Pathe UK and five years as marketing director for Warner Bros UK. At PPI he was previously executive vice president of International Marketing.
