Fox made the announcement on Tuesday (21) as Ice Age: Continental Drift became the second biggest animated release at the international box office on $653m, behind Ice Age 3 on $693.9m.
The series is the biggest of all time for animation.
The final release for the fourth episode is set to open on Sept 28 in Italy, where Ice Age 3 remains the fourth biggest release.
Film is currently in production, from Bafta-winning director Cherish Oteka.
Film will be released theatrically in spring 2025.
