UK distributor Icon Film Distribution has snatched all rights to Easy Money II from TrustNordisk. Icon already holds the rights to Easy Money II.
A work-in-progress version of the film is screening exclusively for buyers only at the market in Cannes and has already been sold to Lumiere (Benelux), Frenetic Films (Switzerland), Maywin Media AB (Russia, the Balkan states), Film Europe (Czech Republic, Slovakia) and Sonamu Pictures co., ltd (Korea).
The producer is Fredrik Wikström for Swedish outfit Tre Vänner Production AB. Executive producers are Michael Hjort and Daniel Espinosa, who directed the first film in the trilogy. Third feature, Easy Money III
Network Movie’s Peter Nadermann has acquired the TV-rights of Easy Money II for German ZDF and French ARTE: “Among all our treasures of Scandinavian fiction, we love Easy Money II very much because it is maybe the most modern and emotional.”
Based on two bestsellings novels by Jens Lapidus, the film is directed by Babak Najafi and stars Joel Kinnaman along with Matias Varela, Dragomir Mrsic, Fares Fares and Dejan Cukic.
