IFC Films has picked up US rights to Todd Solondz’s Life During Wartime and will release in the summer through its IFC In Theaters theatrical and VOD platform.
Werc Werk Works produced the film, which premiered at Venice four months ago and is a part sequel-part variation on the director’s 1998 film Happiness.
The interwoven tales of relationships features characters from Happinessas well as Solondz’s first release Welcome To The Dollhouse, all played by different actors.
Ally Sheedy, Allison Janney, Shirley Henderson, Ciaran Hinds, Charlotte Rampling and Michael Kenneth Williams are among the cast.
Werc Werk Works’ Christine Kunewa Walker produced with Derrick Tseng and Elizabeth Redleaf and Mike S Ryan served as executive producers for Werc Werk Works.
IFC’s vice-president of acquisitions and co-productions Arianna Bocco negotiated the deal with Victoria Cook from Cinetic.
Werc Werk Works produced Howl, which is set to receive its world premiere at Sundance on Thursday [21.]
