IFC Films has acquired North American rights to Chad Feehan’s psychological thriller Wake following its world premiere at SXSW earlier this year.

Feehan also wrote the screenplay and produced the film, along with Amanda Micallef and Lea-Beth Shapiro.

IFC will release through its IFC Midnight VOD pipeline. Lizzie Nastro brokered the deal with Ben Weiss of Paradigm Motion Picture Finance Group on behalf of the film-makers.

Feehan will next direct Beyond The Pale that he is adapting from William Gay’s novel Twilight.
