Genre label IFC Midnight has picked up North American rights to Manuel Carballo’s supernatural tale Exorcismus and Miguel Angel Vivas’ home invasion tale Kidnapped.
Both films will be released through the IFC Midnight label in theatres and on VOD in early 2011.
Exorcismus premiered at Sitges recently and stars Sophie Vavasseur as a young girl who discovers she is possessed.
Kidnapped won best horror film and best director at Fantastic Fest and stars Fernando Cayo, Ana Wagener and Manuela Velles as victims of a home invasion.
IFC Films manager of acquisitions and productions Jeff Deutchman negotiated the deal with Vicente Canales and Carles Rojano from Filmax International.
