Feature debut director Chris Peckover’s horror film follows a documentary crew on assignment with Mexican families who get detained during an illegal crossing into the US.

Peckover wrote the screenplay with Joe Peterson and the film premiered at Fantastic Fest last year. Scott Mechlowicz, Alona Tal, Yancey Arias, Greg Serano and Kevin Weisman star.

Snoot Entertainment’s Keith Calder and Jessica Wu produced with Josh Finn. Sundance Selects/IFC Films svp of acquisitions and productions Arianna Bocco negotiated the deal with Submarine’s Josh Braun.

“Undocumented is part of the great tradition of political horror flicks that find the scariest things don’t have to be made up, because they exist within our society,” IFC Films/Sundance Selects president Jonathan Sehring said.
