The $30m action thriller that reunites the original Girl With The Dragon Tattoo director Niels Arden Oplev with Noomi Rapace and will also star Colin Farrell.
Neal Moritz’s Original Film is producing alongside screenwriter J H Wyman of Frequency Films. Original’s Ori Marmur will serve as executive produce with Frequency’s Reid Shane, IM Global chief Stuart Ford (pictured), Brian Kavanaugh-Jones and Deepak Nayar.
Production is set to begin in early 2012. Farrell will play a New York crime lord’s right-hand man who gets seduced by a victim out for revenge, played by Rapace.
“Dead Man Down is a terrific script and we’re thrilled to be in business with a producer of Neal’s calibre and such high profile talent as Niels, Colin and Noomi,” Ford said.
