Adam Egypt Mortimer directed the film that premiered at the Stanley Film Festival on May 2.
Ronen Rubinstein, Sierra McCormick, Grace Phipps, Spencer Breslin, Lexi Atkins, Noah Segan and Michael Polish star in the story about a bullied teen who conjures a teenage girl who was herself driven to suicide by bullies.
Mortimer co-wrote the screenplay with novellist Brian DeLeeuw.
Caliber Media’s Dallas Sonnier produced Some Kind Of Hate with Jack Heller, Amanda Mortimer and Gabriella Revilla Lugo.
“Some Kind Of Hate has an amazing story that takes audiences for a ride,” said RLJ Entertainment chief acquisitions officer Mark Ward. “We’re thrilled to bring this film to audiences at large after its incredible debut at the Stanley Film Festival.”
RLJE/Image Entertainment negotiated the North American deal with Caliber Media.
