The satire about performers who strive to master a notorious dance move in order to win a contest features Amy Poehler and Tim Meadows.

Matt Besser wrote the script and co-directs with Neil Mahoney. Michael Daniel Cassady, Megan Heyn and Besser also star. 

Upright Citizens Brigade, the comedy improv theatre owned by Poehler, Besser, Ian Roberts and Matt Walsh, produced Freak Dance.

“The Upright Citizens Brigade has a loyal following and Image is excited to be working with them to release Freak Dance,” Image’s chief acquisitions officer Bill Bromiley said. “It’s sure to be a cult classic.”
