Titles include Toast, Pete Smalls Is Dead, Smile and The Puck Hogs. W2 retains theatrical distribution rights to its slate.
“This newly-formed deal is a terrific addition to our distribution pipeline of new releases from Image Entertainment,” Image Entertainment chief acquisitions officer Bill Bromiley said. “We’re pleased to have W2 on board and look forward to the broad spectrum of films they will bring to the market.”
“Image Entertainment is a great partner for W2 as they are veterans of the industry with an eye towards the future,” W2 president Paul Gardner added.
Toast is based on food writer Niger Slater’s bittersweet memoirs and stars Freddie Highmore and Helena Bonham Carter. It opened theatrically in September and remains in US theatres.
Pete Smalls Is Dead is set for a Nov 11 theatrical release and stars Peter Dinklage as a down-at-heel screenwriter.
Smile follows seven friends on a nightmarish holiday in Morocco while The Puck Hogs is a mockumentary about an ice hockey team.
