Independent has secured more sales on Alison Klayman’s Sundance Award winning documentary Ai Weiwei: Never Sorry ahead of the Cannes Film Market.

Independent has sold Ai WeiWei: Never Sorry to Haut et Court for France, Madman Entertainment for Australia, NonStop Entertainment for Scandinavia and Avalon Distribucion Audiovisual for Spain.

The documentary about China’s most famous international artist and most outspoken domestic critic won a special jury prize at Sundance as well as screening at the Berlin Film Festival.

Ai Weiwei has already been picked up in the US (Sundance Selects), UK (Artificial Eye) and Germany (DCM). 

Independent will be screening the film at the Cannes Film Market.
