Kino Lorber has picked up all US rights to Chilean director Patricio Guzmán’s documentary and Silver Bear best screenplay winner at this year’s Berlinale.
The Pearl Button (El Bóton de Nácar) plays out against the backdrop of the Patagonian Archipelago as Guzman’s follow-up to Nostalgia For The Light explore the secrets of Chile’s past.
Kino Lorber plans a nationwide release in more than 50 markets this autumn followed by digital roll-out after further festival appearances.
CEO Richard Lorber negotiated the deal with Pyramide International head of sales and international acquisitions Lucero Garzon.
