The studio confirmed on Tuesday (10) that it will turn The Hunger Games: Mockingjay into a two-parter, setting up a November 2015 series finale.

The Hunger Games: Mockingjay, Part 1 is scheduled to arrive in theatres on Nov 21, 2014 while Part 2 will open on Nov 20 a year later.

The Hunger Games grossed more than $678m worldwide following its March release earlier this year.

The second episode Catching Fire features the returning cast led by Jennifer Lawrence (pictured), Josh Hutcherson, Liam Hemsworth and Woody Harrelson as well as new arrival Philip Seymour Hoffman. It is set to open on Nov 22, 2013.
