Jamie Bell, Imogen Poots, Eddie Marsan, Shirley Henderson and Jim Broadbent round out the key cast on the story of a corrupt Scottish detective.
Magnolia has earmarked a spring 2014 theatrical release.
Jon S Baird directed Filth from his adapted screenplay and also produced through his Logie Pictures with Ken Marshall for Steel Mill Pictures, Trudie Styler and Celine Rattray for Maven Pictures, McAvoy, Christian Angermayer and Jens Meurer for Film House Germany, Mark Amin and Will Clarke.
Baird, Henderson and Marsan also earned Bifa nods as did the production.
Magnolia director of acquisitions John Von Thaden negotiated the deal with CAA and UTA.
