Production is set to begin this month on the comedy about an aspiring taco shop owner who locks horns with a high-class taco truck situated across the street.

Tyler Posey from MTV’s Teen Wolf will star and Joaquin Perea will direct. Carlos Alazraqui, Eric Roberts, Felipe Esparza, Parvesh Cheena, Laura Harring and Paula Jai Parker also star.

Maya holds worldwide rights heading into Toronto and will distribute domestically. Elias Axume will lead the sales push.

Rick Najera and Oskar Toruno wrote Taco Shop and Najera is producing with Robert A Parada of Streetwise Entertainment and Maya’s Moctesuma Esparza and Sandra Avila.
