Matthew Bate’s documentary launched at Sundance and was represented by Submarine Entertainment.

The film – full title Shut Up Little Man! An Audio Misadventure – is based on audio recordings of a stream of arguments between a homophobe and a flamboyant gay man in a low-rent San Francisco apartment.

Mongrel Media’s with Hussain Amarshi, Andrew Frank, and Caroline Habib and Orly Ravid of The Film Collaborative brokered the deal with David Koh and Josh Braun of Submarine Entertainment.

The film is currently screening at the New Directors/New Films Festival in New York and a US deal is imminent.
