Santa Monica-based Moving Pictures Film & TV has closed a string of sales heading into Toronto on its slate of romantic comedies.

See You In September starring Estella Warren and Justin Kirk has gone to Maya for North America, Movie-On Pictures in Italy, Digi-Dreams in Germany, Accent Film Entertainment in Australia and New Zealand, PT Parkit in Indonesia, HBO Ceska in Poland and Falcon Films in the Middle East.

Wake starring Ian Sommerhalder and Bijou Phillips has been licensed to All Interactive for Australia and New Zealand, MGM Networks for Argentina, Canal Dos for El Salvador and Mozaik Iletism Hizmetleri (Dogan TV) in Turkey.

“We never set out with a specific agenda to add rom-coms to our slate,” Moving Pictures president of worldwide sales Ted Chalmers said. “We found See You In September and Wake, both of which had great potential. We jumped on both titles and they’ve been doing extremely well for us.”
