Myriad Pictures has come on board to handle international sales on Bill Guttentag’s political satire Knife Fight starring Rob Lowe, Julie Bowen and Jamie Chung.
Carrie-Anne Moss, Eric McCormack and Richard Schiff round out the cast on the story of three candidates running for office while a crisis manager struggles to contain sordid secrets from dirty campaigns.
Guttentag collaborated on the screenplay with Chris Lehane, a former White House advisor to Bill Clinton who earned a reputation as a crisis manager and later served as Al Gore’s press secretary.Guerrino De Luca of delucafilms produced with Daniel Dávila and Catherine Dávila of Davisidero Pictures.
Principal photography finished earlier this year in San Francisco and Myriad director of development Ari Haas brought the project to Myriad, which plans to cut a trailer in time for AFM.
“Knife Fight is a compelling satirical comedy which comes at the perfect time as we embark on an election year,” Myriad chief Kirk D’Amico said. “Chris’ script is especially non-partisan in that it skewers politicians on both sides of the aisle.”
