Julianne Moore, Michael Angarano, Greg Kinnear, Lily Collins and Nathan Lane star in The English Teacher and Myriad Pictures will commence sales on the Croisette next week.

The Artina Films production premiered recently at Tribeca and tells of a small town teacher whose world is turned upside-down when a former student returns after failing as a playwright in New York City.

Dan Chariton and Stacy Chariton wrote the screenplay and Cinedigm will release in the US on May 17.

Naomi Despres, Robert Salerno, Matthew E Chausse and Ben LeClair produced while Philippe Chausse of Procinvest Sas and Aaron Gilbert of Media House Capital served as executive producers.

“The entire cast really shines in this fun and engaging film and Julianne Moore delivers another brilliant and witty performance,” said Myriad CEO Kirk D’Amico. “We are thrilled to add The English Teacher to our line-up for Cannes.”
