Myriad Pictures will handle international sales on the family drama Alabama Moon starring John Goodman and Jimmy Bennett.
Based on the novel by Watt Key, Alabama Moon follows the journey of a recently orphaned young boy who travels across the country from the hills of Alabama to the mountain wilderness of Alaska.
Tim McCanlies directed from a screenplay by Key and James Whittaker. Lee Faulkner and Kenny McLean produced the film, which is screening in official selection at the Dallas International Film Festival
Myriad’s senior vice-president of sales Elias Axume and senior vice-president of business affairs David Ducar negotiated the deal with Faulkner.
Myriad’s slate includes Salvation Boulevard starring Pierce Brosnan and Jennifer Connelly, the Sundance hit happythankyoumoreplease, and Main Street, which stars Oscar nominee Colin Firth and Orlando Bloom.
