Warner Bros. Pictures International veterans are honoured at June exhibitor conference
Warner Bros. Pictures International’s (WBPI) Nancy Carson, Executive Vice President, Distribution and Thomas Molter, Senior Vice President of International Distribution, are to be named CineEurope’s International Distributors of the Year 2011 at this year’s event.
Carson has handled international distribution of blockbusters such as Inception, The Dark Knight, I Am Legend, The Matrix Trilogy, and the Harry Potter films. Charged with overseeing international distribution activities in more than 120 territories, her responsibilities include forecasting, budgeting, managing production-partner relationships, and supervising the distribution home office team. Additionally, she supervises the Asia/Pacific region, including Japan, Australia and New Zealand.
Thomas Molter is responsible for evaluating theatrical growth opportunities and revenue streams for the division and spearheads the company’s strategy on international digital cinema partnerships and 3D releases.
Both are based in Burbank and report directly to WBPI Distribution President Veronika Kwan-Rubinek.
“You could not ask for more dedicated leaders whose passion and commitment to both their company and the industry has helped bring film to so many moviegoers around the world. Under their watch, Warner Bros. Pictures International has scored record years for not only their company, but has been a consistent leader in boxoffice grosses of all major studios,” said Robert Sunshine, executive director of the event.
CineEurope, the official convention of the Union Internationale des Cinémas/International Union of Cinemas (UNIC), runs June 27-30 in Amsterdam.
