Australia and New Zealand-based Omnilab Media announced today [Mar 1] that Dylan Dog: Dead Of Night will open wide in the US through the newly launched Omni/FSR label on Apr 29.
Freestyle Releasing will facilitate the physical aspects of the theatrical run and Omni/FSR, in conjunction with Omnilab Media and marketing and production consultants Cinemarket, will oversee all aspects of the release including all marketing and p&a costs.
Brandon Routh, Sam Huntington and Anita Briem star in the adaptation of Tiziano Sclavi’s bestselling comic book that centres on the exploits of a paranormal investigator in New Orleans.
Kevin Munroe of TMNT fame directed the Hyde Park Entertainment, Platinum Studios and Omnilab Media Group presentation from a screenplay by Joshua Oppenheimer and Thomas Dean Donnelly.
“Dylan Dog is one of the most beloved comic characters in the world,” Omnilab managing director Omnilab’s Christopher Mapp said. “With the April 29th theatrical release of the film through the new Omni/FSR label, we will expand Dylan’s popularity to a whole new set of fans in America.”
Hyde Park head Ashok Amritraj, Platinum head Scott Mitchell Rosenberg and Gilbert Adler are producing and the executive producer roster includes Mapp, Matthew Street, Peter D Graves, Will French, Munroe, Stephen Roberts, Patrick Aiello, Lars Sylvest, David Whealy and Randy Greenberg.
