Lars von Trier’s anticipated two-part erotic journey will open in March 2014.
Magnolia Pictures said on December 5 that Nymphomaniac: Part One will launch on demand on March 6 2014 follow by theatrical release on March 21 2014.
Nymphomaniac: Part Two will launch on demand on April 3 2014 follow by theatrical release on April 18 2014.
Nymphomaniac: Part One tells of Joe, played by Charlotte Gainsbourg, a self-diagnosed nymphomaniac who recounts the erotic story of her young life to the man who takes her in after she is found beaten in an alley.
Stellan Skarsgård and Stacy Martin also star alongside Shia LaBeouf, Christian Slater, Uma Thurman, Sophie Kennedy Clark, Connie Nielsen and Udo Kier.
Part Two picks up with the story of Joe’s adulthood and stars Jamie Bell, Willem Dafoe, Mia Goth and Jean-Marc Barr in addition to Gainsbourg, Skarsgård, Martin and LaBeouf.
Von Trier’s follow-up to Melancholia is produced by Louise Vesth for Zentropa Entertainments.
Both films will receive their international debut in Denmark on December 25.
