Open Road Films and Unclaimed Freight Productions’ Randall Miller and Jody Savin are partnering to release My Cross To Bear in US theatres.

Miller and Savin will produce the adaptation of the New York Times bestselling autobiography of Gregg Allman with their music business partner Brad Rosenberger.

Savin and Miller are the screenwriters and Miller will direct the story, which will focus on Allman’s early struggles, the formation of The Allman Brothers Band and the group’s rise in fame.

Open Road Films will handle US distribution of the movie.
