Japanese sales agent Open Sesame picks up rights to Pyuupiru 2001 - 2008.

Japanese sales agent Open Sesame has picked up international sales rights to the Rotterdam title Pyuupiru 2001 - 2008, a documentary on the transgender life of a Japanese contemporary artist.

Directed by Daishi Matsunaga, an old friend of Pyuupiru’s, the film follows him/her over eight years as Pyuupiru goes through identity crisis, broken heart, gender change operation and performance art.

Magic Hour is set to release the film in Japan next month.
