After several rounds with the US majors, financier Red Granite has found a domestic distributor for its upcoming Martin Scorsese-Leonardo DiCaprio reunion, teeing up what is expected to be a deluge of interest from international buyers at AFM.
Production is underway in New York and Red Granite’s sales arm sales arm Red Granite International, which deliberately held back on pre-sales until it secured the domestic deal, will arrive in Santa Monica at the end of the month with one of the biggest titles on the market.
Warner Bros holds a right of refusal on a handful of territories.
The Wolf Of Wall Street is based on the memoirs of Jordan Belfort, a former Wall Street trader whose acumen and hedonistic ways led him on a tumultuous ride. nThe cast includes Jonah Hill, Matthew McConaughey, Jean Dujardin and Kyle Chandler.
DiCaprio last starred for Scorsese in the 2010 thriller Shutter Island.
