Jordan Galland’s superhero comedy will be released under the company’s new “Kevin Smith’s SModcast Pictures Presents” banner.

Alter Egos is scheduled to premiere at the Fantasia Film Festival on Jul 24 and stars Kris Lemche, Brooke Nevin and Joey Kern with John Ventimiglia and Danny Masterson.

The story takes place in a world when superheroes have lost government funding and public support.

Galland produced with Carlos Velazquez, Dan Farah of Farah Films and Milan Chakraborty of Attic Light Films. Ed Mcwilliams of Attic Light Films served as executive producers.

Phase 4’s Larry Greenberg and Katharyn Howe negotiated the deal with Maren Olson and Traction Media on behalf of the filmmakers.
