Kevin Smith’s genre thriller premiered at Sundance and centres on a group of teenagers who fall into the clutches of an evangelist and his sinister army of followers.

Phase 4 plans to release Red State in the coming months and will take the film on tour across Canada, just as Smith himself has done in the US, grossing approximately $850,000.

Smith wrote the screenplay and Jon Gordon produced. Michael Parks, John Goodman, Melissa Leo and Kyle Gallner star.

Phase 4 svp of acquisitions Larry Greenberg brokered the deal with John Sloss at Cinetic Media, Jerry Dasti at Sloss Eckhouse LawCo and David Dinerstein of D2 Films.
