Phase 4 Films has taken North American rights here to Will Canon’s South-By-Southwest audience award winner Brotherhood, screening in the market. Cinema Management Group is selling foreign rights.
Jon Foster, Trevor Morgan, Arlen Escarpeta, and Lou Taylor Pucci star in the thriller about college fraternity hazing, the practice of brutal college initiation.
Chris Pollack, Steven Hein, Tom O’Hair and Jason Croft produced and Jamie Patricof, Kevin Iwashina, Darryn Welch and Chris Ouwinga served as executive producers.
Phase 4 will release the film theatrically later this year. CEO Berry Meyerowitz and senior vice-president of acquisitions Larry Greenberg brokered the deal with Kevin Iwashina of IP Advisors, Nate Bolotin from XYZ Films and Darin Frank and John Hassig of Eisner, Frank and Kahan.
Los Angeles-based XYZ also arranged a portion of the film’s financing.
