Promenade Pictures and American Cinema International (ACI) have taken rights to Northern California-based CritterPix Studios’ first animated 3D project, Ollie The Otter.

Kelly Alan Williamson will direct and Ricardo Curtis, who served as head of story on Fox’s Horton Hears A Who, will serve in the same capacity on CritterPix Studio’s project.

Santa Monica-based Promenade was founded by chairman and CEO Frank Yablans and will handle North American distribution.

American Cinema International holds overseas rights and is based in Los Angeles and led by CEO George Shamieh and president Chevonne O’Shaughnessy.
