Busy Toronto sales company 108 Media has struck a partnership with Toronto and Las Vegas-based genre specialist Raven Banner Entertainment to acquire genre titles for worldwide sales.
The venture kicks off with Markus Blunder’s Autumn Blood, a survival thriller about a teenage girl and her younger brother on the run from mountain villagers that stars Sophie Lowe, Peter Stormare and Gustaf Skarsgard.
The initial slate includes Silver Tree and Abe Levy’s Deep Dark Canyon starring Nick Eversman, Ted Levine, Martin Starr and Mathew Lillard; and A D Calvo’s House Of Dust featuring Holland Roden, about a serial killer’s ghost that terrorises a group college students.
“We’ve had our eye on the genre film business and have long considered Raven Banner the ideal fit,” said 108 Media’s Abhi Rastogi. “We’re eager to work alongside Raven Banner’s established brand that’s a trusted name with producers,” added business partner Nathaniel Warsh.
“Combining the sales resources of both companies will have a beneficial impact for filmmakers, allowing maximum worldwide sales penetration,” said Raven Banner’s James Fler, a principal at the company alongside Michael Paszt and Andrew T Hunt.
