For the second time in a week the company has taken over distribution from a film that Lionsgate was set to release.

Relativity financed the mixed martial arts film and set it up at Lionsgate.

However now it will distribute the thriller itself on Jan 20, 2012. Gina Carano makes her feature film debut alongside Channing Tatum, Ewan McGregor, Michael Fassbender, Antonio Banderas, Bill Paxton, Michael Douglas and Michael Angarano.

Carano plays a covert ops specialist who seeks revenge on an associate who betrays her. Lem Dobbs wrote the screenplay and Gregory Jacobs produced.

Lionsgate will continue to oversee international distribution, as it will on Machine Gun Preacher, the true-life drama starring Gerard Butler that Relativity took over from Lionsgate.
