Remstar Films has acquired Canadian rights to documentary The DNA Of GSP.

Peter Svatek and Kristian Manchester direct the joint venture from Triplex Films, Upside Up Media Group and Jimmy Lee, a division of the Sid Lee agency.

Remstar said The DNA Of GSP will provide “an intimate access to one of the most popular athletes on the planet, [Ultimate Fighting Championship champion] Georges St-Pierre.”

Neil Lucas has joined the production team and is an Emmy-winning producer who has worked on David Attenborough series such as Life and Planet Earth.

Remstar Films has earmarked autumn for Canadian distribution. eOne will handle rights in all media in collaboration with Remstar except theatrical, VoD and French-language television rights in Quebec.
