Talihina Sky: The Story Of Kings Of Leon will get its European premiere at the Edinburgh International Film Festival
UK distributor Revolver Entertainment has taken all UK rights to Kings Of Leon documentary Talihina Sky: The Story Of Kings Of Leon.
The biographical rock-doc will get its European premiere at the Edinburgh International Film Festival on Saturday 25 June.
Revolver will simultaneously beam the transmission to 150 cinemas across the UK with a live and interactive Q & A with the band following the performance.
Talihina Sky: The Story of Kings of Leon charts the band’s humble beginnings in the US deep South and features interviews with band-members Caleb, Nathan, Jared, and Matthew who talk candidly about religion, alcohol and drugs.
The all rights UK distribution deal was struck between Revolver’s Dave Bishop, CAA and Ken Levitan and Andy Mendelsohn at Vector Management.
“Kings of Leon are undoubtedly the biggest band in the world at the moment,” said Revolver CEO Justin Marciano. “We’re anticipating a huge response from fans across the country as we beam the film across a record 150 screens. It will take audiences to the heart of the band’s powerful backstory.”
The film, which got its world premiere in April at the Tribeca Film Festival, is directed by Stephen C Mitchell and produced by Casey McGrath of Phear Creative.
