Veteran British comedian Rik Mayall has joined Eron Sheean’s psychological thriller Errors Of The Human Body, which has just begun shooting in Dresden [13].

Nate Bolotin, Nick Spicer, and Aram Tertzakian’s LA-based XYZ Films is handling worldwide sales on the story of a scientist with a tragic past who works on a human regeneration project in the hopes of finding redemption.

The cast includes Michael Eklund, Germany’s Karoline Herfurth and Tomas Lemarquis. The regional MDM Film Commission is backing the project.

Darryn Welch of Instinctive Film is producing in association with Mike Dehghan of High5Films in Germany. XYZ Films, Chris Ouwinga, Rolloco Productions and Pandastorm’s Justus Peter and Rainer Bruns serve as executive producers.

Sheean makes his feature directorial debut from a script he co-wrote with former Edinburgh Film Festival director Shane Danielsen. Sheean co-wrote Xavier Gens’ upcoming SXSW world premiere The Divide.
