Screen Media has licensed Tawaianese rights to Sky Digital Entertainment for Formosa Betrayed.

Inspired by actual events in the early 1980s, the film stats James Van Der Beek as an FBI Agent who investigates the murder of an Asian professor at a small college and follows the case to Taiwan where things become complicated.

Screen Media released the film theatrically in 25 markets in North America.

Vice-president of international sales and acquisitions Michael Dwyer, Formosa Films president Will Tiao, and Sky Digital Entertainment negotiated the deal.
