Shoreline Entertainment picks up doc Adrift: People of A Lesser God and thriller Vanished
US sales and production outfit Shoreline Entertainment has acquired rights to Dominique C. Mollard’s documentary Adrift: People of A Lesser God and Australian thriller Vanished.
Michael Adante’s Vanished stars Cassandra Magrath (Wolf Creek) [pictured] in the story of a grieving parent who exacts revenge on a kidnapper. Shoreline will introduce the thriller at the AFM.
The deal was brokered by Morris Ruskin and Sam Eigen of Shoreline, Ian Kirk from White Hot Productions and Kris Darmody of Marshall’s and Dent. Pinnacle Films will handle Australia/New Zealand rights.
Written and directed by journalist Dominique C. Mollard and produced by Ziad H. Hamzeh of Hamzeh Mystique Films, Adrift: People of A Lesser God charts the perilous journey to Europe of 38 West African immigrants. Shoreline will premiere the doc at MIPCOM.
“This gripping, powerful documentary is a perfect fit for Shoreline, and we are very pleased to continue our successful relationship with Ziad H. Hamzeh and Hamzeh Mystique Films,” said Sam Eigen of Shoreline.
