For the fifth consecutive year Shorts International and Magnolia Pictures are staging a series of screenings of the year’s Oscar-nominated Shorts.

The live-action and animated shorts will open in theatres in Los Angeles and Orange County on February 19 and screen at the Nuart Theatre in West Los Angeles and Southcoast Village 3 in Santa Ana

Live action nominees are: Juanita Wilson and James Flynn’s The Door; Patrik Eklund and Mathias Fjellstrom’s Instead Of Abracadabra; Gregg Helvey’s Kavi; Luke Doolan and Drew Bailey’s Miracle Fish; and Joachim Back and Tivi Magnusson’s The New Tenants.

Animation nominees are: Fabrice O Joubert’s French Roast; Nicky Phelan and Darragh O’Connell’s GrannyO’Grimm’s Sleeping Beauty; Javier Recio Gracia’s The Lady And The Reaper; Nicolas Schmerkin’s Logorama; and Nick Park’s A Matter Of Loaf And Death.
