Showbox Home Entertainment has announced the launch of a new British film label Cine-Britannia.
Following in the footsteps of Showbox’s Cine-Asia label, now recognised as the leading brand for Asian cinema in the UK, the sister label Cine-Britannia will focus on UK talent across a wide variety of genres to the UK market and aims to raise the profile of up-and-coming filmmakers, writers and directors alongside supporting established British stars.
Titles set for release on the Cine-Britannia label include horror-comedy Attack Of The Herbals (available on DVD and VoD from June 25), Tim Lewinson’s caper movie The Hot Potato (out on September 10), starring Ray Winstone and Colm Meaney, and thriller Twenty8k from BAFTA-winning writer Paul Abbott, starring Parminder Nagra, Jonas Armstrong and Stephen Dillane.
