Shrek Forever After has become the highest grossing DreamWorks Animation film of all time at the international box office.
The film added $4.7m at the weekend to boost the running total to $480.7m, making it the fourth biggest animation overseas and the third highest grossing overseas release of 2010 to date.
DreamWorks Animation said approximately 66% of international business came from 3D and Imax screens. The film set an all-time opening record in Russia, where it went on to become the biggest animated release on $50.8m, and more than ten other markets.
The UK generated $49m, Brazil $39.7m, France $38.7m and Mexico $28.4m.
