The former Vivendi executive will relocate from Los Angeles to New York to oversee the company’s activities in both the US and UK.
Veteran industry executive Soumya Sriraman has been named president and CEO of independent distributor Palisades Tartan.
The former Vivendi executive will relocate from Los Angeles to New York to oversee the company’s activities in both the US and UK, which will include forming new strategic acquisitions and mergers.
Sriraman previously held the post of senior vice president at Universal Music and Video Distribution¹s filmed entertainment arm, Vivendi, which acquired US home video, digital and mobile rights to the Palisades Tartan catalogue in May last year.
The large catalogue includes titles ranging from Park Chan Wook’s Cannes winner Oldboy to Michael Winterbottom’s 9 Songs.
Prior to Videndi, Sriraman worked at Warner Home Video and before that Universal Home Entertainment, where she led the DVD re-launches of Scarface and Animal House.
